Way Cool

Photos of a Space Shuttle launch as seen from the International Space Station!!!

Via MetaFilter.

Update: The consensus among the MetaFilter commenters is that the photos are not from the ISS. But they are nevertheless way cool.

One of the very coolest things from the latest launch was the new footage, complete with audio, of the solid boosters falling back to the ocean. From their perspective you could see the launch plume, the shuttle, and the edge of the atmosphere. Before the cameras stop recording, you hear and see the ocean waves.

I am sure the videos are somewhere on the shuttle site at NASA.
